One of my all time favorite RomComs of all time. The writing, the acting, the story… the structure, the comedic timing, the directing… everything was spot on. Except for Dermot Mulroney. Unfortunately, I just don’t like him. If I did maybe this movie could be a perfect RomCom. Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz played well opposite each other and of course Rupert Everett stole the show! A must see for anyone who likes Romantic Comedies!
Favorite scene: The karaoke scene - This is where Julia realizes its gonna be tough. Cameron Diaz completely nailed the scene and Julia Roberts’ amazing internal roller coaster of emotions is all in this one scene. Brilliant!
Note: Julia Roberts says this to Michael… “Choose me. Marry me. Let me make you happy.”
“Grey’s Anatomy” fans does this sound familiar? Meredith Grey says to Dr. McDreamy, “So pick me, choose me, love me. ”
