I’m catching up. Here are some movies I’ve watched in the last two or three months.
Little Manhatten (2005)
My Rating: 6/10
It was okay. VO throughout really made it an amateur type film. “Mine will be better”: is what I kept thinking.
Le Samorai (1967)
My Rating: 6/10
“Alittle bit gangster film, a little bit samurai flick…” is what Netflix describes it as. For the late 60s it isn’t so bad. But ’samourai’ it isn’t!
What a Woman Wants (2000)
My Rating: 8/10
Pretty funny. I really enjoyed this movie. Mel Gibson did a really good job as a lead in a RomCom. I can’t remember any other RomCom he has done prior or even after this. He should do more.
The Ice Storm (1997)
My Rating: 9/10
A dark, searing character driven movie! One of Ang Lee’s best directed movies imho!
X-MEN: Last Stand (2006)
My Rating: 8/10
I have to like it. But it was a little disappointing to be honest. Story wasn’t that great and action was forced and not spectacular.
Cars (2006)
My Rating: 9/10
I didn’t think Disney/Pixar could pull off a car type movie and portray human emotions despite a solid story and script. Well, they did. Should I be surprised? No. But I am! And I was VERY entertained as was the family!
Four Brothers (2005)
My Rating: 4/10
Your kidding right? Good cast, but an UNBELIEVABLE story line. I was like, yeah right – that could happen (note the sarcasm).
