Someone might find this useful information.

I know Jake finds it useful.

He gave me a report about the happenings with his day today.

Papa… I farted nine times: 3 times silently at school, another 2 times silently at school, and 2 times loudly at LaLa’s house, and 2 times loudly here at home.

I didn’t have anything to add to the conversation except… “that’s good.”

I wonder how LaLa felt about my kid farting loudly at her house today. ;)

So what do I write about today? A day filled with crap. 10 hours of financial analysis crap. I pulled a 10 hour work day, which is fine, I just hate sitting there doing what I do for 10 hours. If I had to write for 10 hours straight I’d do it. I pulled a 17 hour writing stint once back in 1996. It’s when I wrote my very first script. I went from page one to page one hundred something or another. Whew. I think a few people read it. It sucked. And it never went anywhere except for the shelf. Can you believe it? 17 hours? I had breaks here and there but I didn’t sleep. Maybe that’s why it sucked. I never did a rewrite - maybe someday I will.

I guess it’s a random thought day. Just random things here and there before I end the day with a martini and the television set.

Jake and I kicked back on the couch and read for about 15 minutes. He read his book while I read mine… It all stopped when he farted. I had to leave the room as he reported on his farting escapades.

Prior to that we had a very competitive game of NBA 2K6 on the Xbox. He’s pretty good and killed me yesterday. And I had to stop his c0ckiness with a win and with a few minutes left I pulled it off to his pouting and frustration. He needs to learn how to lose. Thank goodness I won or I’d be listening to, “It’s all me papa. It’s not the players. I did that.”

Okay, I played my best yesterday and lost. I had to swallow it. Its funny how even losing to a six year old kinda gets ta ya! So today, just to keep things honest and on his toes, I put in my best effort and won. LOL. I suck at that game but managed to beat him. He was trying to hide his frustration: obviously upset. But he got over it as I tickled the memory out of him for about 10 minutes.

I know I’m going backwards but… before dinner I had to accompany Jake in a piano piece that he’ll be playing for a recital on the 10th. Uh… who said I could do that? I can’t play worth beans but managed to pound the keys as enthusiastically as he did and we played it a couple of times. To him it sounds fine. To me… it was god awful!

Oh, and you know I’m writing again when I order brads. My two boxes of brads came in - I bought a box for Dale but he’ll probably just waste them by shooting them with rubberbands at some homeless people that walk past The Hollywood Bowl… just kidding. [that never ever happened] — [well… not exactly]

These are the best brads ever - industry standard - not those flimsy ones that newbies use.

Acco Brass Fasteners #5 - 1 1/4″ $7.95 a box of 100. That’s 50 scripts.

Oh, and I’m at that mode again where I feel like there’s so many books and so little time. I used to think that back in high school and those dreaded college years. I’m in the middle of like five books right now. Maybe even six… or seven? It depends on the mood to which book I pick up and read.

So there you have it. Useful information? Maybe.

What else… what else…

That’s about it. Ready to mix up some drinks and join Donna in bed for some television watchin’.
