Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow?

So, this morning, something totally unexpected happened. It snowed in Loma Linda, CA… Some schools were closed as the snow reached 2-3 inches. Of course, people in SoCal don’t know how to drive in the rain, so why would they know how to drive in the snow. So driving conditions were hazardous thus the closure of schools.

My friend, and blog reader, was kind enough to take pictures of the snow for me. Of course I had to beg, but he did it and I thank him for sharing the moment with me.

Thanks, Edward!!!

So here are a few images for those who want to see a winter wonderland… literally… in a desolate area notorious for hot dry weather, here’s Snow in Loma Linda, CA!

Ahhh… the weekend.

Posted in: Slice of Life on January 12, 2007 at 6:35 pm by Glenn.

It’s here. Finally. It was a long week. And my reward… 12 episodes of The Office for tonight. A 10 mile bike ride and 5K run, ‘Brick’ workout, a hair cut and thai massage tomorrow and then a ten mile run followed by Kaden’s one year birthday party on Sunday! AND… FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS throughout the weekend. Cap that with a visit from my Cousin from Sacramento and THAT is what you call a great weekend.

So here I sit, watching the kids play with Legos and cars, watching an episode of Friends, and waiting to get the kids ready for bed. And then it’s a date with The Office. Possibly I’ll indulge in a bowl of cereal. Possibly I’ll shake a martini or two. Possibly I’ll just fall asleep before anything actual gets done: it’s what I do on Friday nights when Donna works and I don’t have a workout scheduled.

Tomorrow night I plan on reading a book. My DVDs will be in the mail back to Netflix so there’s nothing to watch on DVD till maybe Monday night. I’ll get a good rest in on Saturday night that’s for sure and then a long distance run. Maybe to Arts and Back. Hopefully I’ll get a real early start. Hopefully it’ll be cold cold cold!

Okay, Bella is not listening. Here’s my threat. If you don’t listen and do the things you need to do like Jake has already done, then I’ll tuck him in and go to sleep and you’ll be up all night all by yourself… She’s not taking it very seriously… this means there will be ‘lessons learned’ tonight and crying. BUT… tomorrow night I can use it as an example and trust me, she’ll be on her toes and getting ready to bed at first request. It’s sad, but sometimes that’s what ya gotta do.

What if Chandler never got married to Monica? What if Ross and Rachel ended up together? What if Joey and Phobe hooked up like we wanted them to? What if Friends never ended? That would have been cool.

Okay… time to feed the dog, fill the dishwasher, get Jake tucked in and teach Bella a hard lesson in not listening.

Night.
